School systems still looking for drivers to fill bus routes

The first day of school is less than a month away, and MCCSC is on the hunt for bus drivers; R-BB is hoping to find a new director of transportation; and Brown County Schools are in the midst of bus driver interviews. It's almost time for the big yellow machines to hit the road, but it's not easy keeping a consistent driving crew.
"We're constantly looking for drivers," said Jeff Deckard, transportation director for Brown County Schools. The district has 52 routes and transports about 1,800 kids to school each day. He hopes to have recommendations to hire drivers before the Brown County school board when they meet next Thursday. The first day of school for Brown County is Aug. 5.
